Derale Dyno-Cool Tube-Fin Transmission Cooler Installation - 2018 Chevrolet Silverado 1500

Hello neighbors, it's Brad here at etrailer. And today, we're taking a look and installing the Derale Dyno-Cool Class III transmission cooler on a 2018 Chevrolet Silverado 1500. Now, our customer, John, has had this installed on his vehicle because he was able to check his transmission temperature via the cluster on the truck. And he saw that it was at about 190 degrees while towing instead of that normal operation temp of about 160 to 170, and he wanted to bring those temps down. And this is definitely the best way to do that because you have a whole new cooling element that's up front that ties into the existing cooling system, so it really just gives it a nice little buffer to kinda precool that down before going back, it's just gonna keep those temps running cool. And that's gonna give you a longer transmission life. more

Now the reason you're going to want an auxiliary transmission cooler such as this one on your vehicle is quite simple. Heat is the enemy of transmissions. It is the number one cause of premature failure on your transmission. By reducing the temperature of the fluid inside your transmission, you will extend the life of it, and also have added cooling abilities.
